“Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.”

On Saturday. May 10th, 2014, Keystone Branch 157 will be one of more than 1,200 branches nationwide that will be participating in the 22nd annual “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive.  Over the last 21 years more than 1.3 BILLION pounds of food have been collected by Letter Carriers.

As we walk through our neighborhoods six days a week we see the people who benefit from this great charity event first hand. The timing of Stamp Out Hunger is crucial.  Food donations from Thanksgiving and Christmas are depleted by the time spring comes.  Our work on the second Saturday in May helps food banks in the neighborhoods where we work get through the summer months.

Remember, the food is donated to a food bank right there in the delivery zip code where it is collected!
